Client Film Companion Year 2020
O Womaniya! (2021) is a seminal report on the representation of women in Indian films. Film Companion and Ormax Media in collaboration evaluated Indian films on dimensions such as Talent, Content, and Marketing on the quality of female representation in an attempt to start a necessary conversation on equality.
Gender parity in cinema is an essential part of cultural change. To support this conversation, we designed a visual representation complementing the statistics.
The design system for O Womaniya! was developed with the dual purpose of creating a supportive visual narrative highlighting sexual discrimination in Indian cinema, as well as a responsive microsite for the report.
